Our Process

Intake Session

During the intake session we meet with the patient or the patient’s caregiver to understand their concerns and determine the appropriate assessment focus.

Testing Session

On the day of the evaluation the patient will come to The CNPC for in-person testing. We use a combination of standardized tests, questionnaires, and observations to gather data. For babies/toddlers and young children tests are often play based and may incorporate parent participation. For children, adolescents, and young adults, tests incorporate a variety of paper and pencil type activities (e.g., writing, drawing), playing with blocks, assembling puzzles, and completing computer-based tasks. Testing length varies based on numerous factors including the patient’ age, developmental level, and assessment needs/goals.

Feedback Session

During the feedback session results and recommendations are reviewed with the patient and the patient’s caregivers.

Detailed Report

We generate a comprehensive report with results, practical recommendations, and referrals if needed. Reports are mailed approximately 2 to 3 weeks after testing is complete.

Follow-up and Outreach

We work with families, schools, and professionals to monitor implementation of recommendations and progress.
